Wildmon A CHRISTMAS LETTER Several years ago I wrote an open letter which I would like to share with you. While I am deparLing from my usual form a little and my column will be horter than normal, I do so hpe that it ,will help you have a better Christmas. Here is the letter: Dear Friends: ,A we draw ]ear to this Christmas day, those of us in the Wildmon family would like to take this method of wishing you nd yours a Christm,as season filled with love and ,happiness. We w!sh the very. best for you in all that comes. But there are some special gifts we :hope you will have this Christmas. Fi.rst, .we hope ou will ,have enougt, but not too much. This is our wish for you because often when we get too much we for- get where it all crones Crom and we .aren't very grateful for what we're "seasoning" our greetings with good wishes for a happy and hearty Yule! May our friends enjoy the best of everything! TURNER'S GULF GRILL i , i CAROLING TIME -- These members of Chi Omega at the University of Southern Mississippi took donations at the annual Song Fest presented by the social sor.ority for benefit of patients using the $]00-a-day kidney machine at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. The Song Fest was held Tuesday, December 18 and featured 14 sororities and froternities singing many favorite Christmas carols. They a,re from left at top, Debts Norwood of ;Brookhaven and Susan Grantham of Monticello; also, Anita Bearry of Natchez (front left) and Renee Jensen of Woodville. Sgt. Griffin Wins Air Force Medal .Staff Sgt. Ric.hard F. riffin, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Grif- fin, formerly of Woodcille and: now of Bay Minette, Ala., as recently awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal. The Citation which accompa- nied the award stated: "Staff i Sergeant. Richa:rd F. Griffin distinguished himself by meri- torious service, as Non.commis- ,sioned Officer in Charge o.f Data Automation Accounting and Finance Section .while as- signed to the 438 Air Bae Group, 438 Military Airlift Wing, MeGuire  Air Force Base, New Jersey, from 5 August 1971 to 15 August 1973. During this ,eriod, Sergeant Griffin'.s out- standing professional s k.ill, knowledge ,and personal en- deavors contributed immeasu:ra- bly to the successful perform- ance of the support mission of the 438 Headquarters Squadron. T h e distinctive accomplish- ments o,f Sergeant Griffin re- fleet credit upon himself and t,he United States Lir Force." Sgt. Griffin is now stationed in Italy. LOCAL SELECTIVE SERVICE BOARD NOW SERVICED BY NATCHEZ AREA OFFICE Colonel James L. Davis, s;ate director of Selective Service has .announced tlat all of the local Selective Service boards throughout the state have now been completely collocated at their new sites.
