Four young people will be selected to serve as pages representing MSU Extension 4-H and the Center for Government and Community Develop- ment. They will partici- pate in the 2016 Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves 4-H Senate Page Program, serving February 8-12 in Jackson. The selection committee is seeking high school stu- dents with a demonstrat- ed knowledge of, involve- ment with and interest in issues relating to citizen- ship, leadership and gov- ernmental functions. To qualify, applicants must be 4-H members who are at least 14 years old as of January 1 and have not yet graduated from high school. They must have a B average or high- er and agree to adhere to all behavioral standards expected of 4-H members. Applications must be re- ceived by 5 p.m. December 1 to be considered for this program. 4-H will provide lodging, chaperones and two meals a day for the students who are selected to serve in the Legislature for that week.
