Whitaker Mavis McMillan Whita- ker, age 83, died on Satur- day, August 8, 2015, at her residence near Woodville. She was born in Hurri- carm Mills, Tennessee, on September 22, 1931, the daughter of Len and Lula number of jobs during her life, and was an avid LSU Tiger fan. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Rich- ard Whitaker; three sons, Richard Lynn Whitaker, Jr., Mitchell Burton Whitaker and John Ramon Whitaker, all of WoodviUe; five grand- McMillan. She was one of children; and six great- ten children, nine girls and grandchildren. one boy, all of whom have Funeral services were preceded her in death, held at the Woodville Unit- Mrs. Whitaker held a ed Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, officiated by the Reverend Warren Whita- ker. Interment followed in the Whitaker Family Cem- etery with Newman Funeral Home in charge of arrange- merits. Mrs. Whitaker was a longtime supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and the family asks that any donations in her name be made to this charity. Sons Of Messrs.
