The students and the parent volunteers really enjoyed being a part of the school day and reading to the enthusiastic students. We are always encouraging our parents to come out and share some of their time with the students here at Wilkinson County Elemen- tary. Reading is a hmdamen- tat tool that is necessary for the growth of our boys and girls. We would like to en- courage the parents to par- ticipate in reading as often as they can when the stu- dents are home. We LOVE our Parents here at WCES and we want to THANK you for always being the best part of our school. The program was spon- sored by Alicia Holmes. Training School Graduates The combined classes of Finch High School and John- son High School, the first to graduate from Wilkinson County Training School in May of 1959, took part in the recent Wilkinson County High School Homecoming Celebra- tion which was held in Wood- lle on Oc ber 10, 2014. We were small in numbers, but we did have a float in the parade. We have been out of school some 55 years. We are still proud of the ed- ucation we received, and with the over-all improvements in the school with all the new technology. Students, get all the edu- cation you can. The Class of 1959 will continue to support you in any way we can in the coming years because you are our future. We would like to say how proud we are of the Wildcats team and especially Malik Haynes. Happy 77th Birthday Mom! -- With love Linda, An- nie, Judy, Grant, Rick, Jerry, Kenterrius Mum, its been three years and we feel a pain that cannot be described in words. It is virtually impossible for us to move on from the memory of losing you because you were the woman who sacrificed for your children so that we could have a better life. A mothers' love is truly irreplaceable and we will always love you for be- ing that special someone. It's not easy but we are coping with your loss and emerging out of the shadow of sadness by seeking solace in the written word and fondly reflecting the beauty of our childhood and adulthood memories.
