The presentatio n also included exercising for teens, "Think Your Drink" and positive liv- ing approaches. The students were able to exercise using the video that showed them how they should exercise to maintain healthy bodies. Students responded to a pretest and a pest-test rela- tive to the presentation and showed positive eedback to the presenters. This seminar also allowed students to measure and cal- culate how much sugar and sodium are in sodas, sports drink and milk, and how many calories are in certain foods. Pictured above are the students along with Mrs. Bolden and Mrs. Davis. These programs are or- ganized by Dr. Stephanie Sullivan who seeks to uti- lize positive resources from the community in order to promote positive personal, social, mental, educational, and physically well-rounded individuals that they may become productive citizens of society. I hope your results are a replica of your tremendously hard work in Algebra 1; Eng- lish 1I, Biology and U.S. His- tory. At least 3 of the above, if not all, will be indicative of your ability to read, cempre hend and release the appropri- ate answers. However, do not feel anything but hopefulness as you embark upon your tests because you will be testing in one category or another much more as an adult. Count this as "Just For Fun." I have tutored many stu- dents and adults who went on to achieve the very thing they first thought they could not. My suggestions are: 1. Grab a very difficult book and read at least a few chap- ters in your spare time....Read as many chapters as possible or the entire book, if you wish. This ll help later when you start to read the subject matter you are demanded proficiency in and it NOW reads like el- ementary grade material. 2. Use any and all practice booklets prepared by the Mis- sissippi Department of Educa- tion to both become familiar with the Jargon in questioning and to comprehend what is required of you. 3. The week of the test, if possible use the entire day or as much as possible going over notes, reviewing notes from those earlier courses you just finished. 4. Review practice materi- als and information provided by the teaching staff and De- partment of Education Prac- floe Sheets. 5. Go te bed early and get at least 8 hours of uninterrupted rest. This will aid in relaxing you so that all of the thinking of your brilliant mind can be regurgitated and, 6. Have confidence in your ability knowing that you have prepared and over achieved any and everything you need- ed to "ACE" the test. After the test, just in case you feel a bit inmcient in some of the answers, leave the test and go to your quiet place, write as many concepts as pos- sible about the subject matter that you can remember. Re- view them with your teacher the following day(s) and re search all for yourself. The only questions not answered are the questions not asked. Keep the notes until you get your results! Now that you have passed, trash the notes. Con- gratalations Future Grads! ff you need me, let me know. When you win, I have WON! "ACE The Test!" Dr. "D" L or Sale, Misc.
