Wilkerson Trustee 1/15/4w Notice Of Public Hearing The Wilkinson County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on Monday, January 26, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. in the board room of the Wilkinson County Cohrt- house to receive public comment concerning the adoption of a com- prehensive solid waste, derelict property, landfill and unauthorized dumping and litter control ordinance. A copy of a draft ordinance is posted on the bulletin board at the courthouse and a copy may be ob- tained from the Chancery Clerk's office in the Courthouse. The proposed ordinance amends the existing solid waste disposal and collection ordinance and provides for the prevention of and prosecution of unauthorized dumping and littering. It also would regulate open burn- ing within the county and provides procedures for the clean up of liquid spills. The ordinance would regulate unsightly and derelict real and per- sonal property in the county. The ordinance provides reme- dies and also penalties for the viola- tion of the ordinance. The public is invited to partici- pate and comment on the proposed ordinance at this hearing. WHEREAS, the Wood- ville Republican has a Christ- mas Edition and in years past the Town of Woodville has taken out an ad in which the citizens of the Town of Woodville are advised of the holiday hours for the Town of Woodville offices. IT IS THEREFORE OR- DERED, on Motion of Alder- man Fry, second by Alder- man Carter that the Town of Woodville will place an ad in the c!'U'f the Woodviil itepublican page in size. SO ORDERED, Decem- ber 2, 2014. WHEREAS, Alderman Fry moved that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Woodville enter into Execu- tive Session pursuant to Mis- sissippi Code Annotated Sec- tion 25-41-7, which motion was seconded by Alderman Anthony and passed unani- mously; and, WHERFJ, the Board of Aldermen in closed session determined on the following vote that it was necessary that the Board of Aldermen enter into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters on the Police Department re- lated to work hours. DERED, on Motion of Alder- IT IS THEREFORE OR- man Anthony, second by Al- derman Carter and approved unanimously that the Town Clerk may cemponsate Larry Mealey for his services in the sum of $150.00. SO ORDERED, on this the 2nd day of December, 2014. WHEREAS, from time to time, the Town of Woodville must publish notices and in- formation in the Woodville Republican in order to keep the public informed of cer- tain matters or to make them aware of employment oppor- tunities. IT IS THEREFORE OR- DERED, on Motion of Alder- man Fry, second by Alder- man Carter and approved unanimously that the Town Clerk shall cause to be pub- lished in the Woodville Re- publican once, a notice of holiday schedule for garbage pickup and posting of a job opportunity-for a full time certified Police Officer. Ap- plications for the position of Police Officer must be turned in to Town Hall no later than December 19, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. in order to be consid- ered. SO ORDERED, on this the 2nd day of December, 2014. WHEREAS, the Town Clerk has recommended that the Town enter into an agreement with a credit card company for collection of fines, taxes and utilities in the Town Hall, as well as through the Town of Wood- ville website; and, WHEREAS, the hiring of this company will not result in the Town of WoodviUe in- curring any fees for the use of the service as said fees will be paid for by the consumer. Further, the ability to collect DERED, with Alderman Lofton voting yea, Alderman Carter voting yea, Alderman Anthony voting yea and Al- derman Fry voting yea, that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Woodville enter into Executive Session regarding a personnel matter in the Police Department. SO ORDERED, Decem- ber 2, 2014. WHEREAS, the Town of Woodville, having completed their meeting in executive session reopened said meet- ing to the public, on Motion of Alderman Carter, second by Alderman Fry and ap- proved unanimously that: 1. JaNet McCray is hired as a full time certified dis- patcher/office manager at her last rate of hourly pay prior to her leaving with no 90 day probation period; 2. Calvin Gaines is hired as a part time police officer at his last rate of hourly pay prior to him leaving with no 90 day probation period; 3. Natasha CarU is hired as a part time non-certified dispatcher and is subject to the 90 day probationary period. SO ORDERED, Decem- ber 2, 2014. WHEREAS, the Town of Woodville is required to ad- vertise for bids for its depos- its on an annual basis, and; WHEREAS, the Town Clerk has advised the Board of this need. IT IS THEREFORE OR- DERED, ON Motion of Al- derman Fry, second by Al- derman Carter and approved unanhnously that the Town of Woodville shall advertise for bids for bank depository.
